Light bridges can suppress the formation of coronal loops

ABSTRACT A light bridge is a magnetic intrusion into sunspot, it interacts with the main field and excites variety of dynamical processes. In letter, we studied connectivity between coronal loops rooted at sunspot. We used data Atmospheric Imaging Assembly onboard Solar Dynamics Observatory(SDO) to study features sunspots bridges. It found that if anchors umbra-penumbra boundary, could not be formed around anchoring point. If become detached from penumbra, loop starts form again. The vector magnetogram provided by Helioseismic Magnetic Imager SDO shows region usually have an accompanying opposite minor-polarities. conjugate line connect these polarities short-range loops, therefore, extend long-range formed. model proposed explain loops.
